The Democratic progressive Party (DPP) has condemned Malawi police service following the arrest of Kamlepo Kalua and Bon Kalindo.
In a press statement signed by party’s spokesperson Shadric Namalomba, the party is accusing the law enforcers for exercising their forces wrongly.
They say that the arrest of the two shows that the freedom of expression in this country is gradually disappearing.
The party has however, urged police officers to release the two immediately and it has threatened to call for international intervention on the matter.
Malawians endured enough fear and oppression during 31 year rule under the same Malawi Congress Party and will not accept a return tp those dark days, reads the statement.
