The United Transformation Movement (UTM) has expressed joy over President Lazarus Chakwera’s choice of Dr. Michael Usi as his second-in-command following the tragic death of Dr. Saulos Chilima in a plane crash.
UTM’s Secretary General Patricia Kaliati confirmed the development saying that the party is pleased with the selection of their member to serve as the current Vice President.
Dr. Usi popuplary known as Manganya in entertainment circle, replaces late Dr. Saulos Chilima who died in a plane crash with eight others in Chikangawa forest in Mzimba.
Secretary in the office of the president , Colleen Zamba has said that Mr. Usi will be sworn for the office today at 3:00pm at Parliament Building in Lilongwe.
