Police at Limbe in Blantyre have arrested 2 men on suspicion of allegedly being behind a series of robberies in the city and surrounding areas.
Deputy spokesperson for Limbe police, Chibisa Mulimbika, has confirmed the arrest and identified the two as Ernest Phunduwa, 25, and Fantile Mautana, 24.
According to Chibisa, the two are repotered to be those who were targeting motorcycle taxi operators along Machinjiri road at Peretia and Chiradzulu turn off at Mapanga.
The two have been arrested after receiving a number of complaints and police launched manhunt which has led to the arrest, said Chibisa.
Following the arrest, Police have recovered seven motorcycles and the investigation is underway.
The two are expected to appear before court of law to answer charges leveled against them.
