Former Commissioner for the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Reverend Killion Mgawi has died.

According to MEC, Mgawi passed away at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe. Mgawi served in his role from 6th June 2016 to 5th June 2020.

“He will be remembered for his dedication to the work of the Commission during his tenure of office,” said MEC in a statement.
