The court in Lilongwe has granted bail to Rumphi East Parliamentarian Kamlepo Kalua, who was arrested last week on cybercrime-related charges.
The allegations stem from the release of voice notes (VNs) which authorities believe may contain criminal content, in accordance with the Electronic Transaction and Cyber Security Act.
Kalua was arrested in Blantyre and was being held at Namitete Police Station in Lilongwe before being transferred to Area 30.
