Lilongwe City Council (LLC) has acknowledged the concerns raised by the general public concerning the new site of International Bus Terminal at Grand Business Park in the city.
Yesterday on 23 June 2024, LLC, announced the new location, a thing which has triggered mixed reactions among people on social media.
Malawian netizens, have been sharing photos of the new site, and the place has been criticized for its dilapidated looking.
However, in press statement dated 24 June 2023 which has been signed by signed by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Macloud D.A. Kadam’manja, the council has emphasized that the place has been chosen as a temporary arrangement to bring sanity in the city following the closure of Lilongwe bus depot.
“The council has not spent any single penny to the arrangement the place has been offered to the council for free”, reads the statement.
