Human rights activist Bon Kalindo has now arrived at the court in Lilongwe. Kalindo, who was arrested last week, is suspected of committing the crime of spreading inappropriate messages on social media.
Kalindo was supposed to appear in court last week, but this was not possible because he had not yet arrived in Lilongwe from Nkhotakota, where he was being held.
Meanwhile, Rumphi East Parliamentarian Kamlepo Kalua, who was arrested last week on the same charges as Kalindo, was released on bail yesterday.
