Police in Nsanje district have arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of breaking into a shop and stealing properties valued at K2.5 million..

Nsanje police spokesperson, Agness Zalakoma has confirmed the arrest and identified the suspect as Mike Phir.

“After hearing about this matter, the Fatima Police conducted an investigation which led to the arrest of Phiri and managed to find 4 laptops, 15 mobile phones and a USB”, said Zalakoma.

He is currently in custody and police are hunting for his accomplice Mabvuto Jausi, who is suspected to have participated in the theft of the property.

Mike Phiri hails from Gugumiya Village, Traditional Authority Mlolo in the same district.
