Presidential aspirant Ras Chikomeni Chirwa says he is set to contest in the 2025 elections as he is now selling cannabis to raise Malawi Electoral Commission nomination fees.
Speaking in an interview with Zodiak Chirwa said that Rastafarai church has obtained a licence from the Cannabis Regulatory Authority (CRA) to cultivate and distribute cannabis for a period of one year.
He added that he is using the licence that has been granted to the church and selling of Tshirts is another strategy he has taken to mobilize finances.
In 2019, Chikomeni failed to contest for Presidency due to fees issue.
He later joined Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) ahead of the fresh Presidential polls.
