The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has announced the dates for the much anticipated elective conference for the party ahead of the 2025 polls.
According to the statement released by the party’s spokesperson Shadreck Namalomba, the elective conference will be held for two days from August 17 to 18, 2024.
However, Namalomba could not disclose the venue of the elective conference.
Former President Peter Mutharika is scheduled to contest on the post of the Presidency of the party.
If elected he will represent the party in the forthcoming 2025 polls.
The budget of the elective conference has been pegged at over MK700 million.
