Malawi’s veteran musician who was also the head of state’s adviser on youth and entertainment, ‘Soldier’ Lucius Banda has died.
Lucius alias soldier, has died yester night at hospital in South Africa where he was receiving medical treatment for kidney problem.
The leader of the Zembani Band, Sam Simakweli, has confirmed the departure of soldier.
This happens exactly after Exactly 20 days when the vice president Dr. Saulos Chilima and eight others died in a plane crash.
Lucius Banda came into the limelight in early 90’s when he dropped his first ever album at the age of 23.
In his lifetime, Lucius has saved Malawi Music in a unique way as his music was loved by all generations.
He used to preach love, unity, politics and real life situations in his music.
