The body of veteran musician Lucius Banda is expected to arrive in the country today through Chileka International Airport ahead of the burial on Thursday in Balaka.
This has been confirmed in a funeral program seen by this publication.
According to information at hand, the plane carrying the remains of Banda who until his death was the Presidential Advisor on youths and art, is expected to land at Chileka at 2:30pm.
The body will then be taken to College of Medicine mortuary before being taken to Balaka for burial on Thursday.
The funeral ceremony of Banda is scheduled to be held at Balaka Stadium on Wednesday where Malawians will be given a chance to pay their last respect to the departed icon.
Banda died at the age of 53.
