Police in Chitipa have arrested a 6o year-old driver for killing a 51 year-old man in a road accident occurred at Maka Trading Centre in the district.
Chitipa Police’s publicist, Gladwell Simwaka has confirmed the development and identified the suspected reckless driver as John Gondwe who was driving a Toyota Noah Saloon Car.
Simwaka has also identified the deceased as Kestone Sibale,
It is reported that, Gondwe lost control of his vehicle due to speeding and hit Sibale who was walking on the side of the road.
Sibale sustained head injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Chitipa District Hospital.
