Peoples Development Party (PDP) President Kondwani Nankhumwa on July 3, 2024 took time to celebrate his 46th birthday with elderly people around Blantyre.
Nankhumwa visited various places in Blantyre, meeting the elderly and other marginalized people, as a demonstration of his sense of compassion, respect, and solidarity with this demographic group.
This gesture not only showcases Dr. Nankhumwa’s personal values but also highlights the importance of recognizing and honoring the contributions and wisdom of older individuals within society.
“I am also getting older hence my decision to spend some time with the elderly. My decision serves as a reminder of the need for inter-generational dialogue and support, fostering a sense of community and unity across different age groups,” said Nankhumwa.
He has donated clothes and blankets to the elderly, among other items.
