The funeral ceremony of veteran musician Lucius Banda is currently underway at Balaka Stadium where President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is in attendance.
Lucius Banda died on Sunday in South Africa where he was receiving treatment on kidney problem.
The funeral ceremony will start with a mass which will be presided over by Archbishop Desmond Tambala of the Archdiocese of Lilongwe.
Also present at the funeral are, State Vice President Dr. Michael Usi, former President Dr. Joyce Banda and some cabinet Ministers.
Until his death, Banda was serving as Presidential Advisor on youth and arts.
