A one-year-old boy, Christian Gwedeza has died after he fell out from the vehicle he was travelling in when it hit a heap of soil.
This happened at Kambavi area along Kameme-Chitipa earth road which is under construction.
Chitipa Police assistant publicist, Mathews Mfune says the vehicle missed a road diversion.
“It hit a heap of soil which was used for construction and the child fell from the vehicle through the windscreen
“The child sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Chitipa District hospital where he died while receiving treatment,” Mfune adds.
The driver of the vehicle has since been arrested.
