Bar Owner Arrested in Mchinji for Allegedly Killing Assistant Over Missing Money

Police in Mchinji have arrested a bar owner for killing his assistant after suspecting that he stole money from their business.
Confirming the incident, Sergeant Limbani Mpinganjira said the suspect, Yankho Tembo, aged 28, employed Hastings Banda as his barman.
He said when Tembo discovered that his alleged K7,000 proceeds had gone missing, he confronted the victim and hit him with a blunt object on the head, which led to his death at Mchinji District Hospital.
The suspect hails from Chigwe village, Traditional Authority Chimutu in Lilongwe district.
