Councillor Syze Simeji has been re -elected as mayor for Luchenza Municipal Council in Thyolo.
Councilor Simeji, got six votes out of the 10 cast. Mary Mateyu got three votes, while Grivin Namukopo had one vote.
Councilor Eliot Ndalama is now the deputy mayor.
The mayor has pledged to ensure that the municipality wears a new face.
