Nkhunga First Grade Magistrate court in Nkhotakota has convicted and sentenced a 24 year-old man to spend his 14 years in prison for abusing a 9 year-old child.
The court heard through the state prosecutor, Mickeas Chatsira that the convict identified as Innocent Woka defiled the child in the bathroom when her mother went to the market.
The convict pleaded guilty to charges levelled against him, pleading for leniency in mitigation, stating that what he did, “was just an error”
Innocent Wokas hails from the village of Kaswaya, traditional Authority Kafunzira chief in the district.
