Kenya President William Ruto dissolves Cabinet

Kenya’s President William Ruto has dissolved his cabinet, except for Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
The development comes barely a week after the President rejected a salary hike for MPs and Cabinet Ministers after fierce protest from Kenyans.
He says this decision was taken after recent events that necessitated the withdrawal of the Finance Bill 2024.
