The head teacher of Chiwambe CDSS secondary school in Neno, Harriet Msowoya Mpapa, has died in a motorcycle accident in the district.
Neno police spokesperson Constable Rebecca Msoliza has confirmed the sad development and said this happened yesterday in Mlemeka area along the Kambale-Neno dirt road.
They said this happened when the bike that the woman was riding while going to monitor the Form 4 exam collided with another motorbike driven by Ganizani Samuel.
They said that when they arrived at Mlemeka, who was driving the motorbike that the woman was riding, he failed to stop the bike because he was speeding so much that he collided with the bike that was coming in front of him.
This resulted in Harriet Msowoya Mpapa suffering a severe head injury and after being rushed to the hospital, she died while receiving medical treatment.
Harriet Msowoya Mpapa hailed from Mwahimba Village Traditional Authority Kyungu in Karonga district.
