Police in Nsanje have arrested a 22 year-old man on the suspicion that he wanted to sell his 27-year-old cousin.
Nsanje police spokesperson Agnes Zalakoma has confirmed the arrest and identified the suspect as Kolera Loboti.
According to Zalakoma, police were tipped by people that Loboti is selling his cousin at Bangula shopping center in the district.
“Following this, the criminal investigation police ambushed Loboti when he was advertising his cousin to traders and arrested him and then rescued the person who wanted to be insulted,” said Zalakoma.
Loboti is currently in police custody and he will soon appear in court to answer charges related to what he did in attempting to sell his cousin
Kolera Loboti hails from Kachere village Traditional Authority Tengani in District.
