President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is tomorrow, Friday scheduled to inspect the construct of Zomba Stadium, according to the office of the President and Cabinet.
According the statement, after the inspection Chakwera will have an interface meeting with the vendors from Zomba main market.
The inspection exercise is scheduled to commence at 8;30am, according Secretary to the Officer of the President and Cabinet (SPC) Colleen Zamba.
The stadium is poised to accommodate 20,000 people, and 75 percent of phases one and two have been completed, according to Eng. Mayamiko Kabango, the city’s chief engineer.
The erection of the 20 000-capacity facility started in 2017.
