A 23 year old suspected thief has been burnt to death at Kwanjana Village, Traditional Authority Nguluwe in Thyolo after being caught red-handed stealing Pigeon pees and Sweet potatoes.
The suspect now deceased has been identified as James Kandiwo aged 28.
It is said that the deceased together with his friends invaded the Pigeon pees and sweet potatoes field with an ill-motive around 9pm.
The thieves did not know that the security guard was around who shouted for help despite being assaulted by the suspected thieves.
The villagers responded positively and managed to apprehend Kandiwo and burnt him to death.
The other two suspects are currently at large.
