The much awaited public lecture by former Reserve Bank Governor Dalitso Kabambe who is also Presidential Aspirant is currently underway in Mzuzu.
The lecture is under the theme; ‘Inclusive and Sustainable Information agenda for the north,’ and is taking place at Chisanga Complex which is a metre away from Mzuzu University.
In his lecture Kabambe has proposed the need for each district to have a Minister who should be chosen based on the individual’s competence.
Additionally, he has said there is need for a bottom up approach type of government.
“Each district should be a development hub of its own. Look, for the best people to be the Chief Executive Officers of the districts then put the best people to manage various sectors and having such people will be a starting point towards the development of the country,” he says.
Kabambe has since denounced nepotism in selection of public officers.
