The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the United Transformation Movement (UTM) is scheduled to meet today in Lilongwe ahead of the party’s elective conference in October this year.
UTM spokesperson Felix Njawala has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying UTM executive is scheduled to discuss the venue and dates for convention.
Njawala also said that the executive committee will also discuss the issue to leave the Tonse Alliance as revealed last week.
Meanwhile, State Vice President Dr. Michael Usi who is also UTM President is likely to miss the meeting as he is currently in Zomba on official duties.
