Police in Lilongwe have arrested the Prophetess Ethel Chipuwa along with her husband who allegedly told people that they prayed and raised dead people.
Chief Assistant Commissioner for Ligadzi Police, Billy Chimbonga, has confirmed the matter by saying that police have arrested the woman after a man complained that his late brother’s wife was being forced to live with a man who the prophet said was her husband who raised her from the dead after she prophesied.
Chimbonga said police have arrested the man who is suspected to have risen from the dead.
The man is currently denying that he has never ever died and his home is Dedza where he left his wife and children, and he only came to Lilongwe to look for jobs.
Meanwhile, police has filed a case against him for touching and pretending to be the husband of the woman who he says has been forcibly married to him for almost a year.
