The Malawi Police Service (MPS) has confirmed of the kidnapping of the British national at Falls in the capital Lilongwe.
Lilongwe Police spokesperson Hastings Chigalu has confirmed of the development an identified the victim as Muhammad Kasiman.
According to Chigalu, Kasiman is one of the top officials at Universal Industries.
Chigalu said Kasiman met his fate as he was coming from the mosque. The kidnappers blocked the road, forcing to disembark from his Fortuner car before being forced to board a Toyota Noah.
Meanwhile, the law enforcers have recovered a cell phone of the victim.
