Various people have started arriving at the court in Lilongwe, where the Principal Resident Magistrate is expected to deliver a ruling today on whether Chiyanjano Mbeza should be released on bail or not in the case he is accused of.

Mbeza appeared before court days ago  facing charges related to the publication of news likely to cause fear and public alarm, as well as cyber spamming, as per Section 91 of the Electronic Transactions and Cyber Security Act of 2016.

He is suspected of producing Bakili Muluzi TV content that has circulated widely on social media platforms.

Representatives of the accused, led by Gilbert Khonyongwa, have also arrived at the court.

As of now, the accused has not yet arrived at the court.
