Police in Chiradzulu district are looking for unknown people who are suspected of killing a 23-year-old mentally ill man, Frank Chiphazi.
Spokesperson for Chiradzulu police, Cosmas Kagulo, has confirmed the development to media.
According to Kagulo, it is reported that Chiphazi went to the house of a woman, Loveness Matope, to beg some food and after eating, Chiphazi started to say that the woman had put some medicine in the food.
He started beating people at the place and injured a total of seven (7) people.
This caused the people to beat him badly and when they took him to the Chiradzulu hospital, the doctors confirmed that he was dead.
Frank Chiphazi hailed from the village of Ngwale, Traditional Authority Ntchema in the district.
