DPP Councillor elected as Rumphi District Council chair

Democratic Progressive Party Ward Councillor for Hewe-Mwazisi ward in Rumphi Happy Chirambo has been elected as new council chairperson.
Chirambo scooped 5 votes against his opponent Richard Mazire Chibambo who got 4.
In his speech Councillor Chirambo said he will ensure that there is good relationship between the Council and the local people.
In the elections, vice chairperson Councillor Alick Munthali went unopposed.
