President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has come out of his cocoon to claim that Malawians are pushing him to say something on the plane crash that claimed the life of late Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima and eight others.
Chakwera said this during a meeting with chiefs from Rumphi, Karonga and Nkhata-Bay at Mzuzu State Lodge yesterday.
In his speech Chakwera said Malawians across the globe should know that only God knows what caused the plane crash in Chikangawa Forest.
“People are forcing me to speak about things i don’t know. I avoid them because i don’t want to sin against God. No one can challenge God, who knows everything about that accident. So, I will remain quiet up until am given the report,” said Chakwera.
Chilima together with former first lady Patricia Shani Zimbiri died in a plane crash on June 10, 2024.
