Information reaching this publication indicates that Minister of Local Government Richard Chimwendo Banda has won the Secretary General seat in the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) beating the incumbent Eisenhower Mkaka.
Chairperson of the steering Committee Kezzie Msuka has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
Msukwa went further to disclose that Jean Sendeza has won the post of Director of Women in the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera since arrived in the hall for the official announcement of the results.
