Three men who are suspected of stealing K40 million from a trader, Atipatsa Agro-Dealers have been arrested in Kasungu District.

In April of this year, the thieves stole the money from the trader after leaving it in his vehicle and then went to a shop in town to buy sacks for storing seeds.

According to Police Public Relations Officer for the district, Miracle Hauli, the money has not yet been recovered, but the police have managed to confiscate the vehicle used by the suspects during the robbery.

Hauli added that the investigation is ongoing to recover the stolen money.

The three suspects are Steven Beza, aged 29; Symon Botoman; and Joseph Kamanga, also aged 30. Beza and Kamanga are from Nkhata Bay District, while Botoman is from Sinda in Kasungu District under Chief Santhe.
