Zambian Chife Nkana of Lufwanyama, Copperbelt has sued Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) seeking damages for loss of over US$200,000 which the commission froze in his account.

The traditional leader whose real name is Godfrey Shamanena, is also seeking damages for loss of business and profits, compensations for loss of amenities as well as reimbursements for emotional distress and anguish.

Chief Nkana also wants damages for legal costs and compensations for abuse of statutory powers and authority.

In the lawsuit, the traditional leader, through his lawyers, Messrs Central Chambers, has cited ACC as defendant.

He has submitted that he is not only a traditional leader but also director and shareholder of Bisma Investment Limited, a company that owned mining licence 13811-HQ-GML.
