South Africa – A hijacked truck loaded with peanuts valued at R800,000 was recently recovered in Pretoria West.
The suspect, a Malawian man linked to a hijacking syndicate, was apprehended at the scene. He had reportedly detached the trailer containing the peanuts and connected it to his own truck.
Gauteng police and private security companies successfully located both the stolen goods and the hijacked truck.
The suspect was also found in possession of 19 cellphones and various vehicle license disks.
