Police in South Africa have arrested four people for allegedly selling weed in targeting high schools and institutions in Bloemfontein.

Four suspects aged between 20 and 41 were arrested during the early hours of today.

The suspects were caught in the act preparing and packaging weed (Dagga) intended to be distributed for peddling at different identified high schools in Harris Street and Victoria Road, Willows and Institutions of Higher Learning in President Brand Street and Nelson Mandela Drive.

Dagga rolled into joints; packaged in different sizes of zip lock plastic bags and some still loosely kept in containers weighing at 62,55 kilograms with an estimated street value of R1 500 000.00 were seized.

Four males originally from Bloemfontein, Botshabelo and Thaba Nchu were arrested on the premises.

Khokha speed points used for electronic payments and cash believed to be the proceeds of drugs sales were also confiscated.
