Police is Dowa district have arrested five people for allegedly beating to death 18 year-old man on suspicion of having love affair with a certain man’s wife.

Dowa Police’s publicist Alice Sitima has confirmed the arrest and she has identified the deceased as Ephraim Fradson.

Sitima has also identified the five suspects as Mavuto John aged 30, Misheck Julius aged 24, Malekano Julius aged 22, Stonard James aged 21 and Yudas James aged 18.

According to Sitima, on 7 August 2024, the deceased went to the coronation ceremony in Chiwale Village

On the stated date, some people found Ephraim dead when it was known that some people beat him to death.

Sitima said following this, police conducted an investigation that led to arrest these people who will appear in court soon.

The five hails Goma Village, Traditional Authority Msakambewa in the district.
