There was a commotion in Blantyre recently when authorities from district’s council seized musical equipment from a shop that had been operating without proper authorization.
The shop, located in the old Metro building near the Clock Tower, was found using the equipment without the necessary permits.
According to the council, the shop owner did not obtain permission to use the equipment within the premises as required by regulations.
Currently, the authorities have confiscated some of the equipment and have taken the shop owner and the equipment to the council offices for further processing and possible fines.
