DPP Announces New Leadership Team Following Recent Election

The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) has announced the results of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leadership election.
The elected leaders are:
- Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika – Party Leader
- Jappie Mhango – Deputy Party Leader for the Northern Region
- Alfred Gangata – Deputy Party Leader for the Central Region
- Bright Msaka – Deputy Party Leader for the Southern Region
- Joseph Mwanakha – Deputy Party Leader for the South
- Edgar Tembo – National Treasurer
- Peter Mukhito – National Secretary
- Mary Thom Navicha – Women’s Leader
- Norman Chisale – Youth Leader
The DPP held its leadership election meeting at the COMESA Hall in Blantyre, from Sunday until today.
