Police in Dowa hunt suspected manslaughter driver

Lumbadzi Police has launched a manhunt for a suspected unidentified driver who hit and killed an unidentified male pedestrian on Sunday at Binala Village in Lumbadzi, Lilongwe.

The Police’s publicist, Felix Kwinyani, says the unknown driver was heading from Lumbadzi to Kanengo when the motor vehicle he was driving hit the pedestrian, who was walking in the same direction, at around 8 pm.

Kwinyani adds that the victim sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Lumbadzi Health Center and his body has since been taken to Kamuzu Central Hospital Mortuary for identification.
