Police in Mzuzu have arrested a 40-year-old man, Moses Lukhero, for allegedly killing two motorcycle riders by shooting them with a firearm he possessed.

Northern Region Police spokesperson Inspector Maurice Chapola stated that Lukhero had boarded the motorcycles, taken the riders to a remote location, and then robbed and killed them.

The police conducted an investigation, with community members who reported the crimes playing a crucial role in his arrest.

Meanwhile, the police have urged motorcycle business operators to consider adjusting their business hours to prevent such incidents.
