Information reaching this publication indicates that a passenger plane with three people on board has crashed into Lake Malawi in Nkhotakota.
An eyewitness who is currently on the scene of the accident identified as Geoffrey Chikaonda has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Chikaonda, the accident has happened in the area of Traditional Authority Mwadzama in Nkhotakota.
Chikaonda said one of the passengers, a white lady has been rescued and has been rushed to the hospital.
Fishermen have since rushed to the scene to rescue other passengers.
