The Lilongwe City Council (LCC) has asked the United Transformation Movement (UTM) to shift the forthcoming memorial mega rally scheduled for this coming Sunday at Masintha Ground to another date.
In a letter signed by LCC Chief Executive Officer Mac-cloud Kadam’manja addressed to UTM regional Secretary seen by this publication, the council says the rally collides with Nkhoma Synod of the CCAP which will be held at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
Kadam’manja said the security personnel will not be available as will be signed to Civo Stadium where President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera will be attending the celebration.
Effort to talk to UTM spokesperson Felix Njawala proved futile.
