A plumber who occasionally fixes toilets at Siamambo Primary School in Choma’s Mochipapa area broke into a teacher’s house and attempted to assault two girls, aged 10 and 13.
The incident occurred on 15th August 2024, around 23:00 hours, while the house owner, who works at the school, was away in Chibombo district, leaving the children alone.
The intruder entered through a window and was found in the blankets, fondling the 13-year-old girl.
When confronted, he offered her K600 for sexual intercourse but the girls managed to escape and alerted the school watchman.
Zambia’s Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Auxensio Daka, reported that the suspect fled before the guard arrived.
