United Transformation Movement (UTM) is this coming Sunday, August 25, 2024 scheduled to hold a memorial rally at Masintha Ground in Lilongwe in honor of the party’s departed Dr. Saulos Chilima.
The party has confirmed of the rally in a statement made available to this publication.
UTM Secretary General Patricia Kaliati and the newly catch from the opposition Democratic progressive Party (DPP) Dalitso Kabambe are scheduled to attend the rally.
This will be the second memorial rally after another rally in Mzuzu.
UTM Publicity Secretary Felix Njawala said the party will hold the memorial rallies across the country ahead of the 2025 polls.
Chilima died in a plane crash on June 10, 2024 together with former first lady Patricia Shanil Dzimbiri and seven others.
