Malawian’s renowned afro dancehall artist James Juma Chitsonga popularly known as Jay Jay Cee has parted ways with Lilongwe’s dancehall group Mabilinganya Empire.
Jay Jay Cee has officially announced his departure though his official Facebook page after spending 11 years with the Empire.
“For that effort I will always be grateful, it’s been almost 11 years since I joined Mabilinganya Empire, at some point I was voted a leader, this only shows how much of a family I became”, reads the post
Jay Jay Cee who happens to be the youngest member in the group, joined the group back in 2013 with the assistance of Mady P (now Don Gogo) after finish his secondary education.
The artist has contributed and benefited from the group as he was dropping hits singles with the empire.
Jay Jay Cee, has emphasized music lovers that the decision has just come for him to step out the Empire with no grudges as he is just wanted to be a solo artist
There is no bad blood as some may call it, it’s just a necessary step I am supposed to take, said Jay Jay Cee.
The artist has thanked Mabilinganya Empire member for giving him platform to showcase his talent and he has assured them to that will be committed to work with them any time when it is necessary to do so.
