Sand Music Festival and Impakt Events have announced the Lucius Banda Tribute Concert, scheduled for 28 September 2024 in Lilongwe.
In a Facebook post on the Sand Music Festival page, the organizers stated that the concert is being held to pay respect and honor the legacy of Lucius Banda.
“In honor of the legendary Sir Lucius Banda, the Sand Music Festival and Impakt Events are proud to announce the Lucius Banda Tribute Concert, set to take place in Lilongwe on 28 September 2024,” the post reads.
Sand Music Festival and Impakt Events described Lucius Banda as a man who inspired the country through his music and dedication.
“This special event is a heartfelt tribute to the life and legacy of a man who not only led us but inspired a nation through his music and dedication,” they said.
The organizers will soon announce the venue and the lineup of both local and international artists who will perform at the event.
Lucius Banda passed away in June while in a hospital in South Africa due to kidney problems.
