21-Year-Old Sentenced to 5 Years for Attacking Pregnant Mother, Unborn Child Dies

Happy Banda, a 21-year-old, has been sentenced to five years in prison by the Nkhunga Magistrate’s Court in Dwangwa, Nkhotakota District, for stabbing his pregnant mother with a knife.
The government representative in this case, Mussa Samuteni, also also revealed that the unborn child of the mother has also passed away.
The court gave the 5 year jail term to deter the would be offenders.
Currently, the injured mother is receiving treatment at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe.
