United Transformation Movement (UTM) top official are this morning scheduled to hold a media briefing in Blantyre amid rumours that an inquiry report on the cause of a plane crash that claimed the life of former Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima is out and that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is blocking it.
While in Germany, Chakwera in an interview with a reporter confirmed that German experts who were conducting an investigations into the cause of the plane crash concluded its investigations and submitted its report to his government.
When asked as to when the report will be out, Chakwera remained coy on the matter, attracting speculations that his administration is sitting on the report.

Government is yet to comment on the interview.
Chilima died together with 8 others on a plane crash on June 10, 2024 in Chikangawa forest in Mzimba.
